How Are Services Provided?

Services are provided primarily by volunteers, the majority of whom have business, accounting or financial backgrounds. You will be assigned a daily money manager who is trained, supervised and bonded.

Initial assessments are conducted in the client’s home, and follow-up visits are scheduled every six months.

Most on-going financial management services can be provided remotely in our office by taking advantage of direct deposit, online bill-paying and telephone consultation. Remote services usually require that My Financial Manager be appointed as a limited “agent” able to handle bank transactions and have the authority to discuss accounts with vendors, creditors, landlords and utility companies.

My Financial Manager can become a Representative Payee for those in need of an agency to manage their Social Security, Supplemental Security Income (SSI),Veteran’s or Railroad Pension benefits.
